Just this morning, upon seeing a woman standing at the start of a crosswalk less than a block from my condo, I stopped to let her cross. A little thing, to be sure, but they truly do mean a lot. Just as you turn off my street’s end, a sign reminds you that uphill traffic has the right of way. I always obey that, but you’d be surprised (or maybe not) by how few drivers do. In fact, I surprised a truck driver from our town’s Public Works Dept. the other day by waving him through. He didn’t respond, which made me wonder was he so used to people not obeying that he had given up?
Practice random acts of kindness whenever and wherever you can. It’ll make more than just your day. http://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_writing_challenge/honey-versus-vinegar/
